FARA sewage treatment plant
FARA will be a new forward-looking treatment plant for Fredrikstad and Hvaler.
The new sewage treatment plant will be located on the Øra industrial area in Fredrikstad and will consist of two buildings: a water treatment building and a sludge treatment building. The new facility is sized according to current and future cleaning requirements, and must withstand population growth and environmental changes.
PPM Prosjekt has together with AF Bygg Østfold, Cambi, Enwa and ABB found good solutions for the project which will be in operation from 2026.
For this project, Jotne Ankers will supply handrails in concrete stairs, various industrial stairs from two steps to three floors, ramps, walkways and ladders, placed both externally and internally, spiral staircase with cage and railings and industrial railings around the facility.
