Innseilingen at Værste in Fredrikstad
In the heart of Fredrikstad, the new city district of Værste is taking shape—an area with deep historical roots and an exciting future. This was once the site of Fredrikstad Mekaniske Verksted, which at its peak was Scandinavia’s largest shipyard. Today, this former industrial area is being transformed into a modern, vibrant, and forward-looking neighborhood, where history and innovation meet, and where people, businesses, and culture are given new opportunities to grow together.
At the center of this development is Innseilingen, a unique residential project with a west-facing location by the waterfront, idyllically situated between Glombofjellet and Dokka along the Vesterelva. Residents here will enjoy both proximity to nature and beautiful views of the river.
Innseilingen will consist of a total of four construction phases and will eventually include around 300 apartments. The first phase comprises 63 modern apartments, and construction is already well underway. The first residents are expected to move in during the fall of 2026.
The contractor Ove Skår AS has signed a contract for the construction of phase 1 of Innseilingen. The agreement has been made with Glombo Brygge AS, which consists of the owners Værste Syd, Stene Stål Holding AS, and Solid Eiendom AS.
Jotne Ankers will supply slat railings with and without glass for the balconies, and in the interior concrete staircases, slat walls with handrails will be installed both in the stairwell and on the walls.
