New Rikshospitalet (The New National Hospital)
Helse Sør-Øst RHF has selected AF Bygg Øst as the contractor for the construction of the structural shell as part of the expansion of Rikshospitalet. The project involves an extension of approximately 140,000 m², with planned completion in 2031.
The new building mass will be modern and future-oriented and will bring together both regional and national functions in a single integrated facility. At the same time, local hospital services for around 200,000 residents in Oslo will be maintained.
Our delivery mainly includes platforms with grating decking and industrial handrails in shafts, as well as a range of steel components for the structure.
This includes the delivery of:
- Grating: approx. 1,475 m²
- Industrial handrails: approx. 1,300 m
- IPE140 beams: approx. 2,000 m
- HEA140 beams: approx. 360 m
- Angle steel 70x50x6: approx. 1,040 m
- Steel brackets: approx. 730 pcs
- Z-profiles 40x40x40x3 (aluminium): approx. 970 m
